over the weekend i was channel surfing and landed on the sundance channel. a documentary about the life of john henrik clarke caught my attention. this man was phenomenal!!! i couldn't leave the tv because he was sharing so much information from african history, to malcolm x, to the million man march. i have to own this movie. my children need to watch this movie. you need to watch this movie! lol.

i agree, he was certainly chock full o' information. i also had the pleasure of hearing him in person at newark symphony hall during a kwanza celebration (i think it was) back in the 90's.

i saw something of his on television maybe a year ago, too; i wonder if it's the same one...

oh, i just read your 'tag' (sorry, i just found you):
#1- you are so crazy, chile! i can't relate, but wish i could.
#2- isn't it cool and fascinating to find out you have something seemingly un-genetic in common with a relative? it makes you wonder how far back in your blood line it goes.
#3- this makes me wonder what my 13 yo (soon 14) will be doing when he finally gets out...oh, i mean moves out...
